Amazing...

So today I'm at the gym doin my cardio on the ever faithful eliptical machine... I see an older man in a wheel chair roll up to the doors by the group exercise room. He's just chillin there for a while, I figure he's waiting for his wife to run on the treadmill. Well.. little did I know in a few minutes I would almost be brought to tears. Yeah, I'm a nerd,... I know.. but I have to tell you about this.

So gyms aren't just for highschool boys and soccer moms, there is much more to it. There are people like me there who want to change their lives for the better, there are people who enjoy pushing themselves to the limit with strength or endurance.. and then there are people like this man...

I continued my eliptical running and a few minutes passed and out came a trainer from the gym. He went over to the man and put a strap around his chest. Then with effort that I wouldn't have guessed would have come from this man he stood up! He put his cane out in front of himself and pushed up until he was standing on his feet. I didn't know that was coming. The trainer then helped the man walk all the way across the gym floor and back. I was completely floored by the amount of courage and toughness this guy put forth to get up and walk.

So yeah... don't tell people they can't do it. It's scenes like this that really make me happy. I love seeing people push themselves and become better for it. Again.. wow.. it was cool to see. Way better than seeing those televangelists wack people on the head and then have them pretend to walk. This was real work. Real work that was paying off for him.

I'm a T-Rex RAWR!!!

After spending the past week or so in La La Land from the pain pills I had to take I decided that I needed to stop them. They were making me car sick even when I wasn't in the car and apparently they made me leave odd comments on peoples myspaces and facebooks. I got a fewwww interesting tag backs this morning and thought I ought to keep my head screwed on straight anyway. Tested the extra strength tylenol out today and that was fantastic. It still hurts a little to do things and the only downside now is that I feel as though my arms are like those of a T-Rex... here is what I mean: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LVXjB_VUfk

Enjoy.

No pictures of Tiff 2.0 shall be released until I feel like I look human again.. and can use my arms..
